ItaloJohnson greets the dance floor with his first vinyl release embodying three functional tracks appropriate for any party mood. The A-side’s systematic drumming maliciously rumbles through the prime time floor as the mellow waves begin to take form and surge into a hysterical tsunami of beats. An emotional sunrise paves the track’s finale. A similar functional sound continues on B1 and soon after, exposes itself as a percussive Chicago house track as the 707, 727 and abyssal bassline protest against loungy house. The dubbier interpretation of the ItaloJohnshon Concept can be found in the final track on B2. The 808-thunderstorms and melancholic pads have lived through more than one summer, yet have only triumphed through charm and optimism.
