Ustad Zia Mohiuddin Dagar is the nineteenth generation of a family who have played the dhrupad style of devotional music. For those unfamiliar with dhrupad, it is considered to show raga in its purest form. This recording was made at a house show, offering a more intimate example of dhrupad.
