Forest Law’s latest release, Zero, is his first since a debut EP on Brownswood Recordings four years ago, and is one that signals a fresh chapter for the burgeoning artist. Crafted over seven years, the accomplished album reflects Law’s diverse influences from Portuguese music explored during stays in Porto to inspiration drawn from an artist residency in a remote Icelandic fishing village. Recorded in his Romford garden shed in East London, the album beautifully juxtaposes the producer’s Essex roots with his global musical discoveries to make for a sonic narrative of personal exploration as well as creative evolution.
