Antologia Vol. 2
Les Disques Bongo Joe and DJ Tom B. have linked up for a second volume of their Africa Negra Anthology Vol. 2 series featuring 13 remastered tracks from Sao Tome and Principe's most celebrated musical group. The originals have been digitised from studio tapes by their tour manager and come alongside a booklet with updated liner notes and vintage photos. Africa Negra was founded in the 1970s by Horacio and Emidio Pontes and is renowned for their fine Puxa and Rumba fusion. This volume highlights unreleased sessions from 1979 and 1990 and showcases the incredible skills of lead vocalists Joao Seria and Sergio Fonseca. Following Joao Seria's recent passing, the group has reformed with Sergio Fonseca and new members for equally captivating live performances.
