Exactly the sort of warped but deadly functional tackle one might expect to hear in his acclaimed DJ sets, both cuts are riddled with hyperkinetic detailing and coiled with restless torque galvanised with a steely finish certain to shine thru on big systems and headphones alike.
- ‘Chicken Garaage’ warps aspects of early ‘00s breakstep garage with the sort of techgnostic suss found in Tim Wright prototypes and Oris Jay’s early Texture artillery, leaving no 2 secs wanting for mercurial detail and never losing sight of bodies in motion. ‘Worm Dance’ dials down some of the more animated aspects on the other side to a more fluid sort of dark garage pressure, heavy on the wobbling subs and dank cyber-dubbing, that comes to a boil with its 2nd tilt into gnashing breakstep sermonising of early Jasss as much as Slaughter Mob and some of the killer Grim Dubs on Actress’ Werk Discs.
