Cimbron Celeste is a tribute, a musical portrait of a very peculiar island nature.
Acácia Maior is inspired by life, celebration and memories, and the choice of the album's name couldn't be more significant. Just like the tree it's named after, Cimbron Celeste is a sonic portrait of Cape Verde's island uniqueness. In the sound and lyrics that make up this record, we find the colors of Cape Verde and beyond... The album is a journey of two and a half years told over 10 songs where various rhythms and expressions of Cape Verdean folklore are explored along with different international musical aesthetics.
