Robert Williams, Ron Hardy

The Muzic Box - A Portrait Of The Party At The Dawn Of House (1982-1987)

Rush Hour (RH 122 PROMO)

1x Vinyl 12" 33 ⅓ RPM 45 RPM Limited Edition Promo Sampler

Release date: Nov 28, 2012, Netherlands

Chicago house heaven here with two tracks from those mythological mid 80s nights at Ron Hardy's legendary club Muzic Box club. First up "Let No Man Jack" is explained by its 'rescued from acetate edit' subtitle. With pitched up diva vocals, brutal cuts and harsh drum machine track, it's a fast and raw stomper -just the way we like it. Gene Hunt's "Sound Drome" is a 13-minute monster which Hardy would have worked til the floor was sore. Rush Hour have dropped a sizeable hint that it'll be the first part of a retrospective telling the story of feted DJ Ron Hardy and the Chicago nightclub he presided over - 2013 can't come soon enough!
