We’re big fans of Dutchman Gumnaam and his fusions of dubstep with junglist flavours and Indian instrumentation.
Lead track ‘Deewane Riddim’ is a blissful roller with Indian vocals, harking back to 90s Talvin Singh style tunes- but it’s the tougher flip that’s got us buzzing.
‘Partly Sunny…’ also has blissed out elements in its soul vocal snippets and warm chords, but it’s the contrast with the rude,buzzing bass tones and ricocheting rhithms which makes it. Intriguing on casual listen, on a proper rig it is absolutely devastating.
