We heard enough on his eponymous 2017 mini-album to suggest that Ex-Terrestrial (real name Adam Feingold) would one day produce an extraordinary full-length excursion. Three years later, his first attempt at fulfilling that promise has finally arrived. It would be a stretch to describe “Gamma Infolded” as “extraordinary”, but it’s certainly very, very good. Flitting between dreamy, breakbeat-fired sunrise psychedelia (“Current Location”), trippy downbeat experiments (“Guardian Angel”, “Bored Of Canada”), acidic IDM (“Awaken, Arise”), brain-dance (“Gguunngg”) and wide-eyed, intergalactic electronica (“Scatterbrainn”), it’s a set that neatly showcases the depth and breadth of his sound as much as his retro-futurist style.
